They've bought a Ferrari body and are currently using a Hyundai engine, to get it some run.

I'm really curious what part of this team make you think Ferrari body.

I meant taking a QB at 2 and then not surrounding him with anything at all to help him.

I would say the defense is awesome at this point.

Obviously I knew Miller's injury was bad but not "possibly lose his leg" bad.

I really thought it was an exaggeration, like "save his knee" from functioning. That just seems like an unreal outcome to that play.

Knee dislocation is already a devastating injury, but arterial damage (plus probably nerve damage) is the scary oart

Yea, but even nerve damage I would still normally associate with "fully functioning knee", not "take it off completely". The arterial damage i never even considered at least from a sports related injury.

Is this kind of what happened to Bridgewater?

I just remember it escalating so fast.

From non-contact knee injury to there is a 50/50 chance he will lose his leg.

IIRC, they feared something like this happened but it turned out not to be as severe (if there was any vascular damage)

Wasn't Bo Jackson's big football injury arterial, too? Or am I remembering that completely wrong?

yup...hip dislocation with vascular damage

There's zero chance I watch a clip of what happen to the Bears guy, but was it a similar freak thing?

he landed on it awkwardly while making a catch. looked very bad but i didn't think it looked any more gruesome than your standard football knee ligament tear.

Ah, gotcha. So not quite as random as Bo seemingly just being pushed out of bounds, but still, that's messed up.

horsefeathering robots don't care about human bodies doing what they are not meant to do.

It was awkward and ugly and gross and had to be reviewed a million times because of the overturned touchdown. I didn't watch a single one of them, but imagine being the replay review guy that had to see it over and over.

if i implied it wasn't hard to watch, i didn't mean to

i just didn't have "might need his leg amputated" anywhere on my radar until this morning

If you weren't watching his legs on the play, you hardly notice because the defender has body parts blocking part of Miller's legs. Plus, you aren't typically watching the legs because the play is happening at his outstretched arms. But, once you learn he injured a leg and you watch again to see the injury, you immediately regret watching it.
