They'd be losing by 24 if they implemented the game plan you guys want.

Yeah that last play was a pretty good example of why they can’t toss the ball all over the field. But I think the big objection is the lack of creativity.

well, they are rushing a bunch and dropping the rest into man coverage.

maybe design a run for Mitch?

Instead we're losing by 11. Conservative game plan = closer losses but ones that have a higher probability of occurring. If you're gonna lose any way, should give Mitch more chances to learn something. I definitely don't think he should be slinging it all over the field but they made some very conservative playcalls in saints territory that led them to 3rd and longs and stalled drives.

If they're going to have Floyd covering guys like Kamara 20-30 yards down the field he's going to have to learn to play the ball better. But speed wise he was right with him the whole way. If a safety, corner or pass coverage linebacker probably could've knocked that pass down.

we still might

and the point of the game isn't to lose small. trubisky can learn to hand off in practice.

Incorrect. Closer games give you a higher probability of getting lucky against better teams. It increases the impact of variance. If, for example, you get a ball pop right into your defender's hands for an INT return, that has a bigger impact in a close game.

Fun to watch or not, Fox-ball works when you have a crap team.

Fox ball works when you have a defense and running game that can Do Things. Otherwise you're just the Browns.

Besides, getting Trubisky reps running actual NFL passing concepts is more important than wins and losses
