I didn't see the single and whether he could have scored. Could he have? the Cubs are below average at driving runners in from 3rd with less than 2 outs (I think I read that the other day) so why the heck do we employ the most conservative 3B coach in the majors

Would be an OF of Schwarber/Almora/Jay

And IF of Bryant/Baez/Happ/Rizzo

 

Not sure I want that because one or more of our OF would be at a platoon disadvantage.

 

We really need Russell to round into form.

 

Edit: I would ideally want Happ in the OF (replacing Jay or Almora depending on the pitcher) with Javy at 2nd and Russell at SS

Yeah, his .230 .329 .295 .624 line in September is just peachy keen. Play La Stella or Happ at 2B if Baez on the bench; Zobrist serves no purpose except to age slightly closer to inevitable death.
