Honestly, yeah, I think Kyle is our best pitcher. And I would start him Game 1. But I bet if Jake pitches well the next couple starts he will start Game 1. And it's really close between the two. So I am fine with that.

 

And I think Jon definitely should be starting Game 4. And I think they probably will push him back there. I don't think he's healthy.

 

Don't know how much there is to 'playoff experience', but wouldn't every metric point to Quintana being our best pitcher going into October?

His shoulder is clearly not right, hopefully there’s a rest/rehab program they have in mind for him this offseason and it’s not a surgery thing (for a position player I’m sure it’s fine and he’ll come back but would be out longer).

Nothing against Duensing; he's been really good for us. But he's been walking a tight rope lately. Over the last 30 days, he's walked 7 guys and only struck out 3 in 8.2 IP. I hope if Monty is able to slide into the pen for the playoffs that we don't see Duensing in any big spots.

 

He's just not very good. He has had an excellent season, though. I have no complaints about him.
