get the aloe vera ready for this take: the good place sucks butt

I will not unleash as hot a take, since I enjoy the show very much, but it would be much, much better with someone other than Kristen Bell, who has somehow managed to play the exact same person in everything she has ever done with zero variation.

Damn, that is a perfect comparison. Ridiculously attractive blonde-ish person who is kinda funny and has somehow stretched that into playing the exact same person in everything they do.

When was Bryant's last 1st inning hr?? Rizzo's too? I'm blanking on both.

Rizzo's was the 1st inning grand slam against Homer Bailey in August. Bryant's was way back in June against Colorado

Bryant's was the only run I believe. Rizzo's we blew a big lead and won on a walk off wild pitch, the night before Lester crapped his pants and couldn't get past the 2nd inning...Maybe we can skip the 1st inning homer then.

Vogt has a Miggy like arm, I hope we are aggressive on the base paths tonight

the weird thing is that it has completely collapsed since the trade. He wasn't good by any means before, but he at least caught some guys in Oakland(39/46 SB in 312 IP). Since he joined the Brewers runners are 22/22 in 194 IP. Too bad this lineup isn't exactly tailor made to run, but with that type of liability at the plate you could see any number of guys try in the right situation. Davies has had extremely few attempts though(1 SBA every 20 innings, 22% CS%), so I wonder if he's great at keeping guys close.

It would be really nice to win tonight and take a crapload of pressure off the rest of the weekend.

I know captain obvious

Agreed. Except for the pressure part. They are 3.5 back. They have the pressure. Sure, there's pressure on us not to crap the bed. But the key in winning tonight would be in assuring ourselves of leaving no less than 1.5 up. And putting massive pressure on them with Woodruff an Suter coming next.

If we win tonight, this thing is over. And you can quote that.

John Jay’s boat anchor may be less of an issue tonight. Bryant is the best leadoff guy we have in the team.

On another note, let’s make Davies work early as the bat boy may need to come in tonight as a relief pitcher.
