Detroit will receive right-hander Grayson Long from the Angels in the trade, Crasnick reports (Twitter link). Long, 23, was the Angels’ third-round pick in 2015 and rates as the No. 9 prospect in Anaheim’s thin farm system, per Jonathan Mayo and Jim Callis of MLB.com. It’s not yet clear what (if any) other pieces are in the deal for the Tigers.

Upton was going to opt out after the season so better than nothing but dang. Sounds like it's just Long and a PTBNL or cash.
