Can I get an are we back ruling from the congregation

We've been back since the All-Star break. Just had a weird week or two.

25-12 and the best offense in baseball since the break along with much improved starting pitching. Sounds like we are back.

(Yes I was the moron that made a comment about the Cubs not being on fire in August like they were in 15 and 16 like a week ago. The lesson as always is that I'm a moron)

What's the record for most HRs allowed by a relief pitcher in a single season? Hector has to be approaching that.

He hasn't even given up the most homers of relief pitchers on this team.

The votto homer how fast was that pitch? If it was a fastball I am going to guess giving up 3 homers on 97/98+ mph heaters in one inning has happened less then ten times in MLB history.

Pretty sure it was a breaking ball

For the record, if we look at just the modern era of bullpens, since a bunch of relief pitchers were throwing 150+ innings back in the day, something called Gabe White gave up 18 in 2001 for the Rockies. Grimm has 11 and Rondon 10 this year. Jose Torres has given up 13 for the Padres this year.

So Hector's velo is fixed but he still sucks, maybe it's time he goes back to the over the head/wind up? That's what he did when he was elite last year and broke FIP, since the injury he's been out of the stretch full-time.

Again, division is by far the focus and we're doing pretty well there right now but the Cubs are now percentage points ahead of the Diamondbacks for the 2nd Wild Card spot (if we weren't leading the division).
