This will all be really funny when Leatherdick gets his 2017 World Series ring.

I don't think the Brewers are trading for him after watching him get lit up.

I doubt anybody is going to trade for him, especially not a good team.

Looks a lot like the Kyle we saw before he was sent down.

What can you really do? He went down and proved he can still destroy AAA pitching. There's really no reason to not have him try to figure it out up here.

What really rubs this in is that the version of the Cubs in the Show that drafted my RtS player is the absurd juggernaut that this team should have been, and then some.

2017 Brewers = 2015 Cubs.

NOBODY DENY THIS.

This is actually perhaps going to be accurate. The vaunted Brewers have done that thing this season where they never were worse than two games above .500. Now at like seven games over, they are one 10 out of 14 stretch from locking this up.

The scary thing is that they have 5 top 50 prospects that either havent reached the majors yet or have gotten pretty much 0 contributions from to get to this point.

That's actually the part that irritates the hell out of me. We were supposed to win this division easy this season, and we are trailing a 62-million payroll team that had no intentions of trying to compete.

Weird season. But 2016 was worth it.

On BP's mid-season list released today, they had 3 top 50 prospects: a 23-year-old who slashed .097/.200/.167 in a 35 PA cup of coffee earlier this year, and a 21-year-old striking out in 26.2% of his PAs in high-A, and 22-year-old in high-A with a sub-.700 OPS.

The Brewers aren't anywhere close to locking anything up.

The Brewers need to play at a 107 win pace for the rest of the year to win as many games as the 2015 Cubs, in a drastically inferior division.

Not the actual record, but how they hovered around .500 and then took off. Yes, they won't get to 97 wins.

Yeah, yeah. I know. Steamers projections. They are garbage. We will win by 10 games and be resting starters in the last week.

But just in case you're wrong, this is another possibility.
