I was working in a restaurant with my then future wife(We weren't even dating at this time) in 95, listening to the Cubs game on the radio in the kitchen. I can't remember what happened but I shouted "Anthony Young, you suck dick!" at the top of my lungs. My then future wife, who was a waitress, came storming through the kitchen doors, and proceeded to angrily chew my ass because her customers heard me. That was our first interaction so, I guess I should thank Anthony Young for my marriage.

it's pretty unlucky to have a career record of 15-48 with a FIP of 4.23.

 

i remember feeling pretty bad for him when he just kept piling up losses after pitching somewhat decent games.

I looked up the box score and remember I missed a Sosa dong b/c I was buying nachos. Also, Todd Zeile got magically traded to the Cubs the day before that game (and horsefeathers I guess Joe Torre got fired too, red wedding!), which I found out at the game, because 1995.
