Have home plate umpires been worse than normal this year? If so my theory is that the mainstreaming of pitch framing has flustered the umpires who are now overthinking things

So...which player is more out of character in RF against us?

- Polanco being so much worse against us than he is against the league

- Bruce being so much better against us than he is against the league

Easily Bruce. That moher [expletive] turns into Heyward in RF against us. Jon Jay is somehow our best hitter outside of lead off Rizzo

did heyward get hurt? why was he lifted?

Hurt his hand trying to make a sliding catch in foul territory earlier. He stayed in the game and even took an AB being being removed so guessing it's not too bad.

Just to add context, he appears to have scraped his hand more than injured it.

Assuming a 33 start season (his career high), Lackey is on pace to give up 47 home runs this season, which would be 1 behind the NL season record of 48 set by Jose Lima and 3 short of the all time record of 50 by Bert Blyleven.

Yay?

When thinking back on the World Series title, do you think about the epic seventh game and sometimes forget about how we were down 3-1 in the series?

Because the game 7 was insane intensity wise and because it meant ending the drought, the down 3-1 part isn't remembered to me like a 3-1 comeback typically would be. Plus, I was so confident in that team that I kind of expected it (thought my posts probably don't show this completely.

He probably will make every start, health provided. I think 45 or 46 is probably a good bet.
