They chose a direction. I like that. LaVine will be around long term.

I wanted more. Don't get me wrong. I think we probably overvalued Jimmy. Or GarPax took an offer that we think was less than some other ones. Which wouldn't surprise me.

Now, fire GarPax.

Lavine is garbage, even not factoring in the injury. Pretty underwhelming package. There should be a good player there at 7 though, or be used with 16 to move up.

We gave up the 16.

Good god, sorry Bulls fans

I like the pick at least

I hate it. A 7 footer that can't rebound or play defense. His ceilin is a useful role player imo. We needed to shoot for a star since we dont have one now

And before anyone starts in with the return.....I'm just glad they're going to rebuild. I'm not overwhelmed with the return. I'd venture to say I'd have probably liked offers from some teams better than the one we took.

I hate GarPax. I hope they're gone at this time next year. But I'm happy they made the deal now, because if its around this value NOW, it would have been much less at this point next year.

Again, I think the return may wind up OK. I really did like Dunn last year. And I like Markkonen. LaVine can be an AS, if he makes it all the way back.

Its a start. Not the start I envisioned. But it gets this rebuild underway. We're going to have high picks for a little while. And I prefer that go being a 40ish win, non threat.

But again, I really hope GarPax is done at this time next year.

So next years FA class is kinda crappy looking, except for Cousins who I can't see the bulls signing, but they could have a ton of space, especially if they dump Lopez (and why wouldn't they). 2019 is a much better class. Two year rebuilding plan?

I think he's more than a role player. I'd have been A-OK with Monk too.

Stars don't just join shitty teams with no other stars. The Bulls still have 0 stars and really 0 potential stars IMO. Maybe Dunn.

Well you'd hopefully be able to be selling two recent top 5 picks. Plus, money. Plus additional cap space to bring in another vet star at the same time.

Just like when McGrady and Hill were going to start our second dynasty, right?

Rofl, such a lazy response.

Quick, name me the last big name FA who signed with the Bulls. Over-the-hill Dwyane Wade doesnt' count

Over the hill Gasol?

Boozer.

Wallace.

Bulls probably have as much big name FA success as any team over the past 15 years than any team except Miami, Cleveland, and Golden State.
