Nice to see some K's out of Hedges: 6 IP, 7 H, 2 ER, 6/1 K/BB

Still would like to see some more hit suppression out of him(27 H in 28.2 IP), but only 1 HR is real nice and he looks like he's on track to at least be partially useful while he can be optioned.

Burks is 3 for 7 with a 2B, HR, BB, and K on the double header too, his continued flirtation with a .900 OPS is nice because below Iowa the position players aren't doing much. Has anyone seen any reports on his defense?

Longenhagen said something along the lines of some scouts thinking he can handle center.

oh nice: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/instagraphs/daily-prospect-notes-425/

Scouts like Burks in center field but have never been on his bat as he lacks strength and bat control. He’s hitting .285 so far this year at Double-A, he plays hard, runs well, had a .160 ISO last year, and has a .143 mark in 2017. He may only end up with a 40 bat, but I think he has a chance to be a big leaguer of some kind. He probably should have been on my Cubs list somewhere.

Going to be mildly surprised if the Keys/Pelicans game gets going. Was gonna head on over to Harry Grove, but weather calls for rain, and it's been sprinkling/drizzling in the area already.

He also won the Gold Glove for LFers in the Carolina League last year.
