As not a fan of any NFL team I don't mind the Glennon move for the Bears, especially if it's just $19 million guaranteed. There seems to be a decent amount of people in the league who think he could be a good and those comps from a few pages back of something between being better than Orton and a little bit lesser version of Matt Ryan could be a pretty good QB for not a ton of money. Also it allows them to get a player at 3 (or trade down for more picks) who is likelier to be a good, productive NFL player than any of the QBs at 3 who I think all are nothing special (I think Trubisky and Kizer are garbage and I think Watson could be good but has his warts) and certainly not worth taking at 3. Finally I know it's not a good way to run a team but there are/should be much better QBs in next years draft if Glennon flames out. Just my thoughts looking at this from the outside in, which isn't worth much. I think it's incredibly dumb to let Alshon go and they just should've franchised him if there was no way to work out a long-term deal for whatever reasons.

Demps is good. I'd love to add a second S that's younger. But, Demps can help now. I'm not going to get pissed over signing a good player, playoffs are a possibility now or at least during his 3 years here.

He's 32, so there's very little chance he's here for 3 years.

Also, playoffs are a possibility for every team over a 3 year horizon.

They're also a possibility for the Bears in 2017. Demps helps with that.

They're still talking with Alshon and I haven't heard any other team names being close with him so.

Watching this NFL Network coverage;

"Alright Ian, you have any other bombshells for us?"

Ian: "Yea how about Nick Fairley signing a 4 year deal with the New Orleans Saints"

"I didn't actually expect you to have more!"

Ian: "You want to hear more?"

"Well, I do, but we have an 8 hour show to run here"

Logan Ryan needs to become a Bear today.

If we miss on him, there's a step down to Amukamara, Claiborne, and Kirkpatrick. But, those guys still are very clear upgrades from what we've had.

tried to defend pace and be patient but he's really losing me today...

He'd been winning me over more today until this Alshon bit came out. Let's see what happens with that.

Still seem to be in on Bouye and Ryan too.

This FA period definitely dictates my opinion on him moving forward. Until stuff is final, its hard to get upset over reports on some of this.
