This morning (it's still Wednesday for me), the San Francisco radio guys were talking about the game, and they were joking about how they didn't like the Cubs faces, and were tired of Bryant and Rizzo and all the hype. At the time I was pissed off because why make fun of my team??? Then I realized it was because they were jealous... and now that we've won, there are going to be a whole lot more people that are "sick of the Cubs." This is what you get when you're the best. And now I say bring it on. We've waited our whole lives for this.

 

The Chicago Cubs are the World Series Champions!!!!!

What an amazing feeling!!!

 

The time commitment to really follow a baseball team is staggering. I think I watched 140~ games in the regular season. Doing that for many years...it all feels so worth it when you experience a season like this.

 

Nothing can ever take away what this team accomplished. Best team by far in the regular season. Then went out and won the crapshoot tournament for all the glory. One of the best teams in baseball history. Feel so blessed I got to follow them.

 

I think back to reading the minor league threads everyday when the core was starting out. Playing baseball horsefeathering mogul and trying to win a World Series with these kids. To watch them develop into champions like this, it's incredible.

 

I'm going to spend so much money on title swag, my word.
