I'm younger than Grandpa. But I've discussed Montero being old and washed up a lot on here this year. And then I remember looking at his Fangraphs page or something and realizing that he was only a year older than me. And that made me think about if he's washed up, then I'm officially the age of a washed-up person. That was a kick in the nuts. It's weird growing up rooting for guys when you are kid, and then all of a sudden you are the same age as the guys you root for. And eventually you look at the guys you root for as kids.

 

But me being washed-up? That's a tough pill to swallow.

Celebrate the small victories. I have a friend who is 5'0" and whenever she meets someone shorter than her (which has happened maybe twice) she's like "Oh I towered over that bitch".

I'm not quite 40 and have had that going on for the last 5-10 years. The novelty wears off.

I'm 40, been balding for a good 12 years. Been shaving my head for at least the last 10. Of course, I look like I'm in my early 30s because..........black don't crack. Very little gray in my beard to the point I can pluck out the few.

 

Actually, I've shown signs of balding since I was like 17. I didn't even horsefeathering grow hair at all until I was almost 3. So, I literally had like 12 years of having a full head of hair. Never able to grow an afro, cornrows, or dreads, or a high top fade in the 80s. So, horsefeathers you guys and your damn hair.

I have a beautiful head of hair and I don't think I look 48. But I now have "been watching baseball since before a guy nicknamed Grandpa was even born" on my resume.

I am older than Ross. I have a full head of hair with some salt and pepper. My beard is very gray, but I will periodically get the Just for Men and it makes me look years younger.
