We're going to the horsefeathering Series. Kyle Schwarber is looking like he'll be playing. Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 is a day we're all remembering forever. Love all you guys.

ok, I think I can finally pass out. But not before linking the weird Fangraphs article posted after the Cubs' win http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-best-team-in-baseball-is-still-playing-baseball/

There’s a mounting fear of the Cubs. And, had they lost, the consolation would’ve gone something like this: They’re not going away. They might make the next eight World Series. No organization currently finds itself in a better place. Anthony Rizzo‘s under control another five years. Same with Addison Russell, and Kris Bryant, and Javier Baez, and Jon Lester, and Kyle Schwarber. There are four more years of Kyle Hendricks. There are six more years of Willson Contreras. And so on. The Cubs are overflowing, to such an extent that it hardly even matters that Jason Heyward‘s been a total bust. Think about next year’s NLCS. Who do you picture playing? It’s the Cubs and somebody else, right? Of course it is.

Woke up 30 minutes ago and am definitely still drunk. I passed out around 3:30 am central I think. Gonna spend the morning reading everything I can find about win after my girlfriend & I get breakfast. All the sentiments expressed here & elsewhere just give me all the feels.

I cried for awhile last night. The Cubs were the first thing I loved outside of my family. The years of heartache watching a thing I love being totally mismanaged. It's like watching a family member completely mess up their lives because of alcohol or drugs. They have their moments of hope- but ultimately they didn't do the things it takes to keep their lives in order. The Cubs finally went through the process of really putting the foundation in to sustained success. It's been an exciting couple of yrs. You could see it coming and the anticipation was amazing. Last night and this morning are almost surreal. I am 52, I say that not to minimize anyone else's years of struggle, but just to say that my tears had years of build up. I hope they win the WS, but if they don't I know they have their life in order where it is just a matter of time. And I will cry again

I don't know if "content unavailable" is a hilariously self-aware statement about being a drunk robot or what, but I laughed either way.

First playoff game I've ever been to. First time going solo to a game in years.

Best. Game. Ever.

Easily top five life moment for me last night.

I was at a bar in Dallas with at least 100 Cubs fans. What an amazing experience. Then I went out to a friend's birthday party and went crazy until closing time. And of course on the way home my horsefeathering car breaks down. I was just told it's the fuel pump. I knew SOMETHING was going to horsefeathers up my night at least somewhat. But screw it, the Cubs are going to the World Series and I will be at Wrigley for games 3 & 4!

I had a party at my place and ran a few laps around my apartment complex parking lot after the win, decked out in Cubs garb. Some SUV came up and drove alongside me for a solid 15 seconds screaming out the window at me in excitement. It was glorious.

I was at Killroys in Indianapolis last night with some friends watching. Still can't believe it. The place was packed with Cubs fans and went nuts after the double play.

After it happened, I got a call from my grandpa. All he said was "We did it. We horsefeathers did it!" and just started crying. That's the first time I've ever heard him cuss. Needless to say, I cried with him. He'll be 78 tomorrow and he finally will get to see his team in the WS. Then came home this morning and found out that my grandma let him have one beer last night. First alcohol drink he had in 41 years. It's amazing what a team can do to someone.
