I got about two hours of sleep. I woke up more angry than I went to bed. But now I am very confident in a Win tonight.

I stuck to milk last night. I came to realization that if they didnt beat MB, they would have to do it again today. I'm glad I had that presence of mind.

Yea around midnight I was planning on just joining the CTU strike in solidarity so I could sleep this off, but those [expletive] reached a deal.

I tried to go to bed after Crawford's single off Chapman, but of course looked at my phone and saw Bryant had tied it. Then couldn't possibly sleep without knowing what was happening and promptly had trouble sleeping after the loss. So, yeah.

It's one thing to go to a concert (which I properly took horsefeathers for), but I can't believe how many people I'm hearing of who went to bed during a playoff game last night. For horsefeathers's sake.

it was 3 am, I was drunk and I didn't "go" to bed.

Not faulting you for that.

I'm talking about people (not just here) who said they went to bed during the game...either because they thought we were going to win (which, wouldn't you want to horsefeathering see that play out and see the celebration?!) or because they were giving up after the 8th.

Not that it means anything at all, but Maddon missed his regular noon appearance on The Score today with no explanation. I'm sure he has more important things to do right now, but Goff indicated it was very unusual for him.

Guy might be just a LITTLE busy today.

Yeah I turned it off as Chapman was being pulled, and was just going to lay there until my phone notified me that it was over. It seemed to be taking forever so I checked AtBat and Grimm had just ended the inning, so I went back into bed and a couple of minutes later I heard someone screaming in excitement through an open window so I jumped out of bed checked my phone to see that Bryant had donged so I went and put the TV back on. From there on out I would pretty much decide to go to bed when the Giants came up and then went it didn't end I'd watch the Cubs bat and repeat... finally right before it ended I decided I was done and staying in bed, I took one last peak on my phone saw that the first double had happened and knew it was over and then got the game over notification. Then I tossed and turned and couldn't get to sleep at all, thinking about how the Giants were now unstoppable and I was going to hate everything. I was going to avoid the board today because I thought it would be doom and gloom, but eventually I had to check in and this thread actually brought my confidence up.

edit - and I have a job that I have to physically be at at 8:00 am

I wouldn't say so much "went to bed" but more "passed out after being up for over 20 hours"

I just put myself in "Sleep mode", staring at my computer screen. If someone sends me a message or something pops up that I need to do, I wake momentarily and then go back to staring blankly at the screen.
