Maybe sort of makes sense. Zobs is hitting under .200 since the end of May and given his age, resting him often during the second half to keep him fresh makes sense. That said, I'd rather the resting to occur after Fowler and/or Soler gets back so we don't have Szczur, Almora, Ross and Lester anchoring the bottom of the lineup.

Just giving him a few days off, since he was busy during the break, per Maddon.

Yeah. Len and JD speculated during the game yesterday that he may get another day off.

I was a Brewers fan the two years I lived in Racine. They lost to the Cardinals in the WS the one year. [expletive] cardinals

That was before I was born you old bastard. LOL.

I mean, I was 7. Loved the hell out of Yount and Molitor though

Even though it barely matters, and Javy is an above average hitter (especially against lefties), I do hate him leading off.

It offends my baseball aesthetics. Hackers leading off is something the White Sox do, not the Proud Walking Cubs

you'll be happy to know that javy has a .436 OBP vs lefties and a 10% walk rate

Matz is all over the place, missing his spot by quite a bit nearly every pitch. I hope this is a good sign for future innings.

Yeah, k zone had two pitches dead center against Willson
