the funny thing is that umpire metrics have suggested that joe west has been a terrible home plate umpire for ... well, pretty much as long as those metrics have existed. yet he continues to be employed and will be a crew chief until he voluntarily retires.

 

just zero accountability for bad umpires. it's frustrating.

rizzo should probably get the harper treatment given that the guy behind him can't hit.

 

this is gonna end with Soler not doing horsefeathers with the bases loaded, isn't it?
