Tell me which ones are good so I can listen to them

Baseball Tonight does 2 a day...one is just a scoreboard, and the other is more discussion. Both hosted by Olney.

There's also a BP podcast called Effectively Wild, which, as CT puts it, sounds like they're being held prisoner and forced to podcast, but they definitely have a much more analytical approach to things.

baseball doesn't translate to podcast form

do you really need 45 minutes of tim kurkjian impersonators getting all crackly over random factoids?

between my commute to and from work and sitting at my desk, i listen to probably 20+ hours of sports radio a week sooo....maybe?

I feel like I should get you a cup of coffee and maybe one of those emergency blankets.

I like how that manages to be equally terrible whether it's a joke or serious. Never change, Barstool Sports.

And yet they apparently have a huge audience.

99% of the their baseball talk is Jon Hamm showing up to talk about the Cardinals or them talking about John Hamm showing up and talking about the Cardinals.

well in this week's show they talk about how good the nationals are and whether the Cubs can hang with the nationals

It's been several years but I liked Sklarbro country when I listened to it. Definitely not as a baseball/sports podcast though, it was closer to a weird and funny version of Access Hollywood.

I'm not much of a podcast listener, but I've had Effectively Wild recommended to me by someone who is(and is also a big baseball guy). TINO from the BP guys is another one that might be worthwhile though I can't personally speak to it.

Watch how fast I go check my math.

No, seriously; watch me.

it's crazy how the main part of the show is having a guy read funny news stories that shock and awe the hosts and guests while everybody else on the internet saw/heard these stories a week earlier.

Oh my god, a pizza with another pizza as the box?

they managed to ruin pftcommeter

i haven't really followed PFT (probably football season related) since he went to Barstool, but how has he changed since the move?

he's just a big part of the barstool bro circle jerk

I never heard of those guys, even though one is apparently a neighbor, until that most annoying people in sports thing. Anyway, pft went from being somewhat of a parody of that type of guy to one of those guys

My favorite baseball podcast is the Sleeper and the Bust which is a definite fantasy podcast, but has a ton of real baseball analysis. I enjoy listening to Eno Sarris breakdown different metrics. They release a podcast on Sunday, Monday and Wednesday and run between 45 minutes and 1 hour 15 minutes.

The other baseball podcast I enjoy is Baseballholics Anonymous. Doug Thorburn is great when it comes to breaking down pitching. This one is usually around 2 hours and comes out once a week.

I've been trying to find more and have sampled a bunch. I can't stand the BP Effectively Wild podcast and the FanGraphs podcast with Cistulli can be good but I can only take so much of Cistulli's standup act which usually takes up 2/3 of the actual podcast. All the other podcasts out there are done by people who are completely clueless and like RBI as a stat.

The latest Poscast with Joe Posnanski and Michael Schur is debating if the Cubs are the baseball version of the Warriors.
