Seriously, think about the joy this kid brings us. The homer off Lackey. Was the NLDS MVP(if there was voting). Co-MVP of the NLCS. Homer in game 7 of the WS.

Javy forever.

Plus he makes random August games against the Padres exciting even though we have a 35-game divisional lead.

The whole Javy Experience tonight. He just made a nice play to field a ball, chase down the base runner, tag him out and throw onto first for the double play.

Even got a hit off a RHP, maybe even 2! I didn't see one of them.

Soembody asked him if this Puerto Rico team was the best team he'd ever played on. He basically sort of kind of said that it was. The studio guys were were all "Oh no he didn't" as if that was going to cause some sort of controversy.

Javier Baez: the most electrifying man in baseball?

if he ever figures it out at the plate (namely vs rhp) then easily...until he puts up big offensive numbers, i just have a hard time saying that without at least the caveat that it's just defense/baserunning.

a few years ago i felt like puig was that guy. just exciting at everything.

He is now because everyone is so used to him being that awesome, but his first couple years when he was robbing a HR like every other week plus everything else?

Pujols (in his prime) was the most boring amazing player ever to me.

Pujols was, indeed, mega-boring. Bryant looks like he's going to be pretty boring, too.

Pujols could pimp a home run decently. That's about all he had going for him though.

So I'm pretty convinced Javy is better than Heyward, not to mention the centerfielders. I mean it'll all work itself out, but I don't know how you keep him out of the lineup with the amount of groundballs in our starting rotation.

Javy is going to have his "Uh oh, Happy learned to putt" moment and become absolutely elite sometime this season. And every team in baseball is going to throw the damn towel.

That doesn't make him less boring though.
