Arguello said he'd been told Pierce Johnson threw his between-starts throwing session. If he was able to do that, good sign; if he came through that clean, maybe he won't miss any starts. Hopefully he'll be the guy tonight.

Pleased to see Tseng listing to start, after his injury. Hope he's fine, and he really does make the start. Well, hopefully he'll pitch effectively, too.

twomey started instead of Alzolay, given up four runs through the first two innings.

^ He also threw another runner out as well. I just hope he doesn't turn out to be Welington-bad at receiving bc there is so much to like about him. Pretty exciting, his development.

Went to the SB Cubs game in Ft. Wayne, mainly wanted to see Eloy and he didn't play. Pretty uninspiring group. Dewees looked alright, Eddy Martinez had a couple decent ABs - one of his outs was 390ft to center.

Sutton Whiting (who I had never heard of), listed as 5'8" but looked closer to 5'2", made a lot of solid contact and actually looked like he knew what he was doing at the plate.

Frazier looked like he would be unhittable if he had any sort of command.

For the Padres, De Los Santos walked a few guys, but looked legit besides that.
