Somehow I lost my 5 iron. Anyone know a place to replace one club? I've been looking and so far haven't seen anything except a Chinese version. I'm debating just getting a "new" set of irons.

eBay? Or else go to your local course if they have a decent pro shop maybe they have a gently used one or else I know my through my course I can order individual clubs if it’s not too old and still being made, could also contact a rep or the manufacturer directly. How old/what brand is the club?

If you're looking for a specific brand / model, go to that brands website. If not, try eBay or that Facebook selling page or something of the like. I'd also go to your local golf courses. They often have single clubs as well as single refurbished clubs on sale.

It's Taylor Made Rocketballz. I went to the Taylor Made site and it linked me to Globalgolf.com but that was actually the first place I looked.

That's my go to site for all golf clubs.

I "lose" my 5 iron all the time

Now that I've bought a replacement, I'm going to find out that I put it in my playing partner's bag but he hasn't noticed because he doesn't play much. He's a friend of a friend so I can't ask him directly.

The replacement came but it was the wrong club. It was a 5 iron but some sort of hybrid iron that looked terrible and felt equally bad. I didn't bother sending it back since it was only $20. But then my 5 iron turned up in the pro shop.

Moral of the story: count your clubs before you leave the golf course or range.

The US is getting horsefeathering embarrassed in the Presidents Cup, my god

I was thinking the same thing when I turned it off last night with the US having lost 1 and losing the other 4. I wake up this morning and find that they went 3-0-1 which puts them right back in. The International team always does best in the foresomes. The US should do really well in the individual matches. It seems to me they weathered the storm, they are getting used to the golf course and have adjusted to being on the other side of the world.

Yeah, Tiger and JT and whoever the final US group was (Woodland and Fowler I think) bailed them out late to potentially salvage things. Tiger and JT definitely seem to have some mojo together, hopefully they’re paired together in the Ryder Cup. In the individual matchups the US should be pretty heavy favorites in the majority of them but we’ll see.

Reed is that guy you hate when he's on the other team, and hate even more when he's on yours.

Yup, he’s a solid gold horsefeathers. I’d assume his caddy is one as well. Would think video of whatever happened will come out.

I'm definitely rooting for the home team in this one.

I don't like Tiger. I don't like Kuchar. I don't like Reed. I don't like JT. I don't like Bryson.

If Fowler and Finau weren't on the team, it would be really easy to root for them to fail.

Anyone been to Dicks for swing analysis? I was looking for club fitting places near Williamsburg, VA but the intra webs suggested Dicks was closer to my actual location. I'm not looking to invest in a custom made set, I just want to know if I'd be better off with a different flex on my irons.

My advice is to find any course/shop with a Trackman/fitters. I had to go a couple hours from home to find one but it is a great experience and last time I went we confirmed that new iron sets were not a better fit than my current set.

PS - Get yourself a 3-wheeled push cart. They are awesome.

I would second this. Find somewhere that has trackman. I got a new titleist driver and irons last winter. My course brings in reps throughout the year for fittings. The titleist rep had a trackman to fit me and set me up with completely different clubs and shafts I was thinking I needed/wanted going in.
