I was extremely happen with what I saw from Javy in AAA last year and up with the majors. He is still going to strike out a lot but he definitely looked improved in that aspect.

How many AB's can he get as a super sub?

Can he play 5 out of every 7 games conceivably subbing in all three outfield spots, 2b, SS, and 3B?

Will we see Schwarber catching once a week and Javy moving to the OF?

Will we see late inning defensive outfields of Javy in CF, Heyward in RF & Soler/Schwarber or even both on the bench?

If Rizzo eventually needs a day off do you move KB to 1B and Javy to 3B, Zobrist to 1B and Javy to 2b, etc?

& of course what do you think of Javy's bat going forward?

"Javy" still seems weird and lame and I am blaming it for all of his struggles.

JAVIER Baez sounds like a mighty champion of the people and he will be a monster of baseball this year.

Sofa this is the stupidest thing I've ever read out of you. Javy goes by Javy, and the players & coaches call him Javy.

We should change your name to SamuelSofa since you probably referred to slammin sammy as slammin samuel.

I would happily go by AND sit on "Samuel Sofa;" that's sounds classy and luxurious.

Im pretty sure you changed your name to SammySofa because of a post I made too. Wonder if its in the archives.

Its Javy. Its what he goes by, what his teammates and FO call him and its what we've called him since he was drafted.

As for expectations, I see him having a 2 WAR season, helped a bit by his D. 15-20 HR in 450 PA, with a 30% K rate. Maybe .230/.290/.450 overall. My guess is he gets more starts at 2B than any other position this year, but he'll start games at 2B, SS, 3B, CF, and LF.

If you take to sitting on people, I propose you go by Queequeg.

Well I was going to comment but then I saw this thread instantly turned into one man's ego trip.

Thoughts? Id like to get this thread back on track to Baez.

I thought it was because I once type his name as Sammy Sofa as an honest mistake. If you were the one to spot it, well done, sir.

no, it's because one time there a discussion, likely a facetious one, about sammy being a coach, which you referred to as sammy being a couch
