Atletico is Chris Mullins. It’s like, yeah, he’s great, but at some point you’re just filling out the roster. They better fine a way to hook Simeone up with some ownership, because he’s the biggest reason they’re in this. Without the recent success, I would’ve assumed Sevilla or Valencia.

(I know its satire.....probably)

If Jose was still the manager he’d definitely claim it just like he was bragging about winning a Treble with ManU when the three trophies were the Europa League, League Cup or Community shield.

As for Spurs, never forget the massive 2018 International Champions Cup title!

I'm surprised how quickly this fell apart. FIFA officials lecturing on the evils of greed is pretty rich.

I think the Super League owners grossly underestimated how angry their own fanbases would be about this. I'm sure they figured the smaller clubs and fanbases would complain, but completely had no idea how unpopular it'd be among their own fans.

I don't know. I suspect it's the players not the fanbases.

I wonder where Matt Hoppe is going to play next year? Also, good luck to Schalke in their future efforts to recruit players to their club, where they may get jumped if they don’t meet fan expectations.

Schalke was just sad before this. This is pathetic.

I think what grosses me out about the super league narrative is that somehow UEFA and FIFA come out looking like they support the fans. What a bunch of [expletive]. Koeman gets it about right. They are every bit as greedy as the clubs.

Daryl Dike has decided that simply spitting in xG's face with his goal scoring pace wasn't quite enough, so he's gonna have to up the difficulty and start biking in goals.

I read an article on players exceeding expected goals over meaningful timeframes. Essentially, there was Messi, who absolutely crushed it, and everyone else who as very close to xG

yikes, reading the NFL's new replay policy, it sounds like they learned from the premier league even using clear and obvious. This should go well.

so now we get 10 pointless group stage CL games. yay.

Just like every other sport, the people in charge don't give a horsefeathers about the health of the players.

Erling Haaland has big 7th grader who has to shave 3 times a week dominating gym class energy, except he’s playing against grown men. John Brooks didn’t even play badly today, Haaland is just unstoppable. Made JB look tiny and slow, two things he definitely is not.

It is really incredible how bad England is at VAR compared to the rest of the world. Should’ve guessed we can’t entrust technology to the country that can’t figure out how to put outlets in bathrooms.

And I’m not even sure which incident you’re referring to!

Newcastle goal gets disallowed because a player has arms or West Ham player gets sent off for clearing a ball.

the La Liga title race is great - Barca has a game in hand and is two points off first. RM is two points out and now Sevilla is within three . . . I cheer for Barca but would be awesome if Sevilla snuck in and won it.

Barcelona and Atletico still play as do Sevilla and Real Madrid.

France appears to be a good race also. Lille came from 2-0 down on the road to beat 4th place Lyon over the weekend.

yes, nice to see a race in France for once. Either Barca or Athletico can win out to win the league though the draw in the head to head now favors Barcelona. RM will be focused on CL
