Assuming they don’t go and win the next four league games to put themselves in UCL position, I hope City hammers them in the League Cup final. I read a few weeks ago part of the reason Jose was still there was because they were still in the Europa and had a final coming up.

 

Playing in the crappy third tier European competition next year (the reward for winning the Peague Cup) does nothing for me.

Never was a fan of this hire. The Dele Alli scenario was so predictable. Jose is toxic. Owners would be wise to stop trying to find magic fix retread managers and understand that getting the right players is what leads to wins.

Dest with a banger. He's looked good on the left side against Jamaica. Nutmegged a dude and played out the back through like four people earlier. Announcers are talking about how he's on the left for depth reasons but it seems more likely Berhalter wants him and Pulisic to be on the same side. His goal just came when Pulisic underlapped and drew two defenders away and gave him space. good horsefeathers.

It's good to see Pulisic on the field if for no other reason than to remind us how much cleaner he is on the ball than the rest of the pool. Just a cut apart when it comes to tight control. Less good from Reyna, who hasn't been all that good in a US shirt. Aaronson has been on for 10 minutes and is already a huge problem for Jamaica.
