Week 16: Bears (5-9) @ Lovie Smith's Bucs (6-8), Noon FOX

Tampa a 3 point favorite

I keep hearing people saying that the Bears will get up for this game because its against their former coach. I count 4 projected starters that played for Lovie on the Bears. Cutler, Forte, Jeffery and Shea. Jeffery and Shea were both rookies in his final season, so yeah, I don't think any of them care that Lovie is on the other sideline.

Amazing how big of a 180 this season took after the GB win.

I have no idea why I'm watching. I'm guessing because the football offseason is the longest of the 4 sports so I'm getting my last fixes in

Ah yes, the Lovie Smith defense before the half. I remember this.

Bears dominant 9nce again and behind once again.

Odd that Cutler's best games this year have seemed to come without Jeffery. This is up there with KC as the best he's played. Very accurate with his non-deep throws.

Mainly because they don't take any chances to do anything downfield. Has Cutler attempted anything over 20 yards today?

Granted they're playing a Cover 2 so your gameplan should be just take what the defense gives you and Bears/Cutler have been doing exactly that.

hell of a play by Cutler to Mariani there.

Only one I remember is a bad miss to Miller down the sideline very early in the game.

Hope our draft spot wasn't hurt too bad with the W

From 10th pick to 13th. Assuming the Giants hang on to lose tonight, they will join the Bears, Saints, Bucs, Lions, and Eagles at 6-9. Not sure how the tiebreakers work, but I believe the Bears get screwed because they had a harder schedule. I think 6-9 vs. easier schedule = higher pick than 6-9 with harder schedule (guess theory is the 6-9 team with a tougher schedule could have won 1-2 more if they had an easier slate).

5. San Francisco 49ers: 4-11 (.552 SOS)

Damn...well at least if the Bears don't win next week they are guaranteed to jump to 12 at the very least since they would be losing to the Lions and one or Philly and NYG have to lose (assuming no ties).

I understand why they do lower SOS as the tiebreaker, but it kind of sucks. Get beat down by a tough schedule and then because of that lose draft tiebreakers.
