Needless to say, my last-minute decision to drive four hours to St. Louis and back for the game today wasn't so good. Did have a great dinner before the game downtown at least.

Rats Rizzo really showed his true colors tonight. Lester, we wound up with the wrong Sox pitcher. Lackey is making like food stamp money and we are paying Lester like 25 M. Great move team.

 

Fouler was foul and Schwarber looks like a tub of lard.

 

Maybe I am being a bit hard on them and should temper my expectations. I really should just be thrilled that we are even able to share the field with the best team and organization in sports. The Cards haven't been the best for years for nothing after all. If we had a great manager like Matheny instead of Scruffy McDuff we might have a fighting chance, and might actually have a chance to beat them instead of just sharing the field with them.

 

It's only been 100 plus years since we won anything, whats another 100.

Cuzzi should not be an umpire in MLB let alone in the playoffs. The Cubs pitchers made bad pitches a few times, that's why the lost, but Cuzzi was beyond bad. I think he also has a reputation as hot head too.
