Lynn got lucky though. Looking at Gameday placement, Starlin could have donged it out easy.

 

First pitch should have gone off the scoreboard.

CUBS are 72-35 (.673) when they don't allow any first inning runs.... 13-26 (.333) when they do

CUBS are 35-12 (.745) when they score in the first inning.... 50-49 (.505) when they don't

CUBS are 62-18 (.775) when they score first in the game.... 23-43 (.348) when they don't

Nice, yes, but even letting them off the hook a little still frightens me. 6 would have been great.
