I never in a million years thought LaStella was going to be out. I don't care how good his arm is. I'm stunned

Yeah, and it wasn't even close. Baffling

[expletive] it, everyone just go into 'Try to hit the ball 550 feet' mode.

If the Cubs bat again, the next 2 batters should be in "lean into one" mode

This is going to be the most annoying loss of the season

Does the rulebook say anything about batters that jump over the plate as the ball is being delivered?

As far as most annoying losses of the season goes, that has to be the Peralta HR game.

As far as tiny annoying [expletive] building up over the course of the entire game, I would say this is up there.

Yeah they can be called out if the ump determines they are purposely leaning into a pitch. Otherwise baseball would basically be the inverse of dodgeball and everyone would try to get hit

still not close

hell, off the top of my head, the goldschmidt game was insanely annoying BEFORE we gave up a 2 out 2 run walkoff HR with a one run lead

This game will not effect our chance of making the playoffs (ok technically it will a little bit) so while I really want the Cubs to win and gain ground etc at the end of the day it's not super important
