anibal sanchez has allowed a very stupid number of hr this year. this looks like it's largely due to the fact that his hr/flyball rate is five times higher than it was last year, but last year it was stupidly small for no reason so in conclusion dongs.

So what do we want in SF-StL and SF-Pitt this week? Pittsburgh also plays home to Arizona while St. Louis plays in San Diego.

 

I think part of it depends on what the Cubs are doing. If the Cubs are losing, then we want the Giants to lose to stay in the playoffs. But if the Cubs are winning, I think the best case is for SF to go 4-3 or even 5-2 (if we have a great week). The latter scenario would mean we'd pick up a game or two on each SF, Pitt and StL.

I just want the Giants to lose. I have zero hope we'll pass the two best teams in the NL (maybe in all of baseball) to win the division, and I don't really care where the wild card game is played. I just want the Giants to lose and for the Cubs to be in that wild card game, damnit.
