It take at least 5 sentences for Coomer to say it's a hit or an out.

 

Hits it up the middle............gloved by Simmons.........gonna be a tough play........great throw.........and he has a leadoff single.

 

And this is all 15 seconds after the play has ended.

 

 

 

EDIT: I did a poor job describing my complaint (I Coomered it). There's the crack of the bat, the crowd reaction, THEN Coomer begins his 5 sentences.

 

I just realized that this post is a great allegory for Coomer's play-by-play.

I feel your pain. Luckily I'm watching. They need to replace the entire booth. Pay has slipped and if he's taking innings off it makes it unlistenable. I wish they would stop trying to emulate santo because despite being loved and genuinely passionate, he actually wasn't any good at the technical aspects of the job. There has to be a poor mans Len out there for radio.
