Hmm. Possibly. Could we have taken him out because we've got a lead on a soon to be DFA'd type guy and beat everyone to the punch? I wouldn't put it past our Front Office(they're pros!)

 

Could this be the beginning of a Hamels trade? Where we didn't quite get it complete yesterday, but to make sure we didn't mess it up, we took Contreras out of the game, so the deal won't go bad via injury?(lol run on sentence)

 

We're supposed to be signing one of the top 16 year old C's in IFA this year.....This all tells me that Contreras is now excess and we're free to move him. The real question is whether it's as a stand alone piece or as part of a larger deal.....I'd love to see what we could get for him, Andreoli, and Frank Batista myself!
