well, injury was only just over 2 weeks ago so at least a month

original timetable was 4-8 weeks and javy was hoping for the shorter end. so the week after july 4 seems to be the most optimistic

i hadn't heard anything like that. just that he was starting the rehab process in AZ maybe a week back, which could have meant almost anything.

 

think he posted a video doing cardio with his finger still splinted at that point

I mean, obviously he couldn't/shouldn't do that right after the injury, but the lazy swings in the video are what I just assumed somebody with an injury like that could do well before "real" rehab. Especially since his actual swing is SO much more violent, so this just seems still pretty far away.

i don't think he'd have to do much of this knocking off the cobwebs stuff before taking real swings. the fracture is probably healed completely or i don't think he'd even be doing this.

Seems he's just documenting the stages of his recovery process. First cardio, now a light swing on a tee. Doesn't necessarily mean he's ready tomorrow but I'm sure he's excited to be able to swing a bat again. And it's at least encouraging in the fact there (seemingly) haven't been any setbacks to this point. I wouldn't read too much into Instagram (or any social media posts for that matter).
