Except when he's throwing peas to home plate

I'm talking about the actual fielding part. He's never looked comfortable and you can't suggest he looks like god's gift to baseball when he can't field. He's had a couple short stretches of tremendous production at the plate, but he's always looked like a fielding liability.

I really want to believe Soler will bounce up. He was my biggest "can't wait to see what he can do" and I really don't want to give up I him yet. Schwarbs was an amazing surprise, Russell and Bryant are as advertised.

I'd rather marry Soler; he's much prettier, and I think I could talk him into opening up a bakery with me instead of ruining the game of baseball.

Are we playing FMK Cubs edition?

If so, the answer is Soler/Bryant/Somepitchingprospect.

That's because the grading system is a damn joke. I think Soriano is a decent comp for Soler. Soriano made so many route mistakes teams would routinely take extra bases on him. Occasionally he would throw someone out because he had a really strong arm. Dale Sveum made him stand with his back touching the wall that way no ball could get past him.

I'm not going to look it up for you assholes but Sveum and Dave McKay "worked" with Soriano on his defense for among other things his ridiculous hop catch. But mostly they told him to play deeper. On some AB he would stand right in front of the warning track. There were several articles written about it at the time discussing his improved defense.

I know it's cool to be anti anti Soriano, but he was a poor defensive baseball player.

Okay, so you admit you were wrong earlier.
