If there's one thing that I don't like, it's the Similar Topics at the bottom of each thread page. Seems like that's not a terribly useful feature for the type of forum this is. Trivial to skip past though.

 

For anyone else bothered by this, you can turn it off here: ucp.php?i=ucp_prefs&mode=view

I like the changes. Much easier to read on an iPhone. Thanks, Tim. I don't know why, but I finally have a desire to change my username. Created this as a placeholder 12 years ago.

Good catch. Thanks. That was the only thing really bothering me. The rest will take some getting used to, but I'm stoked about the embedded youtube and twitter links. Thanks Tim!

Is avatars on the right side a new thing for everyone or just for me? It's gonna take some getting used to.

The older subsilver style has not been redone by phpbb. The only style they officially support at this point is prosilver. But someone else created a third party version of it that is based on prosilver so that it has the same responsive features, but the same general look and feel as subsilver.

 

But you don't have access to that? Bummer. Oh well I'll get used to it.

This was a major update to phpBB. They strongly discourage the use of older themes.

fair points, though i wonder if it has much of an impact. doesnt seem to stop people in game threads (myself included) from having to click a button and then say a bunch of dumb [expletive]
