I read this last night and I think there are some shenanigans going on here. There is no way Vince Carter outsells Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, or The Chief in NH. There are thousands of people living in southeastern NH who commute to Boston. They are very much New Englanders and are highly patriotic. No way a Canadian team outsells their Celtics.

Perhaps whatever Raptors fan base there is is large enough to outsell the NE/Boston base that spreads their purchases over many jerseys in what is a much richer history to draw from.
