i don't get Chip Kelly's reasoning here; Bryce Brown had some 200 yard games in his offense- it seems like he can make a star RB maybe better than anyone, so why not put that money into your OL?

 

it's still a win, nonetheless, because Murray and Shady ended up with equal contracts, but the Eagles gained a nice young RB in the whole rigamarole

Kelly must be going into his cave to devise a way to get all three on the field at the same time. And I am definitely drafting Jordan Matthews in the mid-rounds of my FFL draft this year. Someone has to catch the ball there, and he's pretty talented.

 

EDIT: Where's this stuff about them backing out on Matthews? It may seem crazy, but this has the feel of a Xbox One Madden 2015 GM in the way Kelly is handling things. Kind of admire his courage.

Twitter has gone nuts in the last couple of hours around the Saints. If you believe them, everyone but Brees and Brandin Cooks are available, with Kenny Stills and Cam Jordan being actively shopped. Stills might be a star one day and is still on his rookie deal. There's a serious overhaul happening and money or cap space isn't what's driving it.

Jeff Ireland gave LB Dannell Ellerbe a 5-year, $35M deal in '13 and cut Karlos Dansby to do it. Ireland is now in New Orleans front office.
