So when Trestman bungles his way through another 5-11 season, that reflects positively on them?

Then they get to fire him, rebuild with a completely fresh start and lock in several more years of job security. They're surviving Trestman, they're not surviving the next failure. No reason to start that clock a year early.

Not so sure about that. If the Bears fail again next year Emery and Trestman both have a convenient one year left. Easy time to fire both and start fresh. If Emery hires another guy he stick with the new coach for a few years.

Agreed. It's not like Emery has done anything to earn a second contract and his risky moves (Shea and Trestman) have backfired spectacularly.

Let's make it so our opponents never punt the rest of this year.

And yet Tucker gets to stay

Oh good now Bennett is broken

There is no other term for this but curse

We would get clever down 28.

Man, this year blows. After that first drive against Buffalo, I thought this offense was going to roll people.

He was retained and it was my first inkling that it was all about to go horribly wrong

I mean, how was Emery ever a scout? A football scout.

Was he just in football for so long people thought he knew what he was doing? How could a god damn fan not do better? Edited by Stannis

This could be the worst pass defending back seven in NFL history, though. I'm a little curious what the opponent's total completion % is against them.

Crowd sourcing GM decisions would be at least as effective

Including Romo 21 for 25 tonight... QB completion % is at 66.7% (298/447).
