Week 10: Bears (3-5) @ Packers (5-3) 7:30PM NBC/780

Oh yay a night game to showcase our ineptitude!

I guess its a positive that we'll be coming off our bye week, but so will Green Bay. I don't have any analysis of the game. Maybe we win and temporarily save our season, but more likely we lose.

Anyways, I started this early to discuss things during the bye week, starting with the Emery press conference at 12:30 PM today (10/27)

Green Bay looked like crap last night for the most part and Aaron Rodgers got hurt. Of course, he'll be 150% with the off week and they will probably figure out how to play some semblance of run D in the meantime and they'll beat the dog [expletive] out of the Bears.

2-0 in primetime night games. (Don't respond with Jay Cutler's record against Green Bay.)

But....diabetes...night time...umm

Maybe we can get Josh McCown back for this one and move Shea back to pass rusher.

So, on twitter I read that they're considering moving Mills to LG because Slauson is out for the year with a torn pec??

I posted the tweet in week 9. I'd rather see Brian De La Puente play guard but Mills obviously shouldn't play tackle much longer.

@AdamHoge: Jordan Mills could play guard going forward, Trestman says.

Eh, prior to Rodgers tweaking his hamstring, the Packers were going to take the lead midway through the third quarter. Obviously the defense was awful, and the offense struggled in the red zone, but the Packers looked far worse against Seattle and Detroit this year than they did for the better part of last night.

Teams would be smart to just run the [expletive] out of the ball against the Packers. There's no legitimate nose tackle on the roster since Raji's been out and the inside linebackers are beyond terrible. I know Brees lit up the secondary last night, but Shields and Burnett were both out last night and both of them should be back after the bye week.

Yeah, their secondary is solid with the potential to be really good when healthy. Clinton-Dix looks pretty good the last month or so.

The defense was worse than the Bears D was yesterday, and that's saying something. The redzone stuff was more playcalling, but still not a good showing for the Pack. Not that it matters for this game.

Nobody in this division is very good. Lions have no business at 6-2, and unless you really buy the "with Rodgers we always have a chance" theory, I'm calling another one and done for whoever goes. Could be facing a team like Seattle who might have to rely on a wild card.

Of course with the NFC being so weird this year I could be wrong.

Why do the lions have no business where they are?

Especially considering they haven't had their best player. I wouldn't expect a big dropoff.

Gotta think Bushrod.De La Puenta. Garza. Long. Britton is our best bet going forward. I expect Ola to remain though. And if they put Mills at G I guess I could accept it as development time but you're basically not putting your best foot forward for this year then.

Cutler goes 27-33 362 yds 5 TDs 0 turnovers

Packers 49

Bears 35

And the loss is somehow still his fault.

His bad body language uninspired the defense

Yep. I was thinking more along the line of:

Packers get the ball first.. score on first drive

Bears fumble the ball on kickoff... Packers scores again

Touchback, 1 yard run up the middle/2 yard WR screen/incomplete 40 yard pass for offense... Packers scores on their 3rd drive

100% blame on Cutler from everyone

I verbally stomped a mudhole in this dude on Facebook. He tried to blame Sunday on Cutler, saying the Bears don't need a big armed QB, they just need a game manager.

I pointed out that the defense allowed points on every single drive for the 2nd time in 5 games, and for the 4th time only forced 1 or fewer punts. Then asked him the last time a game manager won a ring (2000 Dilfer) and proceeded to point out how stupid it was to try to create a team from 15 years ago that had one of the top 3 defenses of all time when the Bears have one of the worst 3 defenses on Earth right now.

Can't imagine the Bears will trade away draft picks when they're already 3 back of Detroit but Barron sure would be an interesting target:

@nfldraftscout: Ideal landing spots for V Jackson (Seattle), Doug Martin (Denver) and Mark Barron (Chicago). Hopefully we see some action today.

Trade deadline is today.

Sounds like some of my friends at the moment. They all LITERALLY want Kyle Orton back. The reason? Because he's 3-1 with the Bills. That's it.
