It's not about Marshall, it's about the commissioner's pattern of behavior going back over a number of years. Marshall is the unfortunate case-in-point.

I dunno maybe it is a fan bias or the passage of time but I can't bring myself to get worked up over Marshall. Yeah, he did some pretty heinous [expletive] a few years back but he's also owned up to it, recognized that he had a fairly significant mental illness that was affecting and almost certainly enabling that behavior and has spent a ton of time since trying to bring awareness to issues like his.

this is how i feel about it too. i clearly don't condone what he did in the past but at least he was able to address the situation, realize why it was happening, and move to change it for himself and others.

It's an example of Goodell's rather nonchalant attitude towards non-sexual violent behavior off the field.

Allred is making the case that this is nothing new, and that Goodell has always been light on the punishments for this type of behavior.

 

She's trying to say that Goodell doesn't care and never has cared about violence towards women. Therefore, he should resign.

Seems odd to me that this went from Pick-em to Jets -3, while at the same time cbs pick-em has the game at Jets -1.5 yet the Bears are getting nearly 70% of the vote based on that line. Does this mean the general population thinks Bears but the people laying actual money are going Jets?

I'm no betting expert but generally yes that is the case. Last week the public was all over the 49ers and the line wasn't moving, presumably because the 'sharps' were on the Bears.

 

edit: you would think the line would've kept moving with 70% of the public on one side to -8, -9 for San Fran instead of staying under a TD.
