Oh man, what a win. Defense wasn't perfect but they gave me several reasons for optimism going forward. Need to get Ratliff back soon.

 

Going to enjoy this one before the inevitable Tillman season-over news breaks tomorrow.

 

I don't know that it's a lock that it's a season-ender. Tillman could have come back last year if the Bears had made the playoffs and he got hurt later in the season than this year.

I don't know that it's a lock that it's a season-ender. Tillman could have come back last year if the Bears had made the playoffs and he got hurt later in the season than this year.

 

Can't use the IR-designated to return anymore though. Either have to IR him for the season or keep his roster spot. Probably at least an 8 week thing. Tillman went out Week 9 before, so 8 weeks puts him playing in the playoffs. Ray Lewis missed 10 weeks with his in his final season.

The stuff about his relationship with Cutler is great. They describe themselves exactly as they are—as an old married couple. In a June minicamp, Marshall, wired for sound, approached Cutler at practice. He put his arm around the quarterback.

Fuller might be better than Tillman but Tillman's injury is bad because now the nickel is going to be McMannis (if healthy), Vereen (who filled in admirably last night but is a rookie who hasn't played corner since college) or someone not on the 53 (Frey? Hayden?). And the Bears play a lot of nickel.
