And bWAR of 1.1, 1.4, 3.0, 2.8 - for 2009 to 2012. I'll ad in the 2.1 fWAR for 2009 that you left off.

I thought the general consensus was fWAR is superior to bWAR in regard to position players because fWAR incorporates better metrics for baserunning and defense. Is that not the case?

I'd rather have the money than Minor, although depending on when the negotiations took place I may have felt differently then.

Those are all still fairly decent-good, also bWAR is for chumps

That's why I used it for Upton.

and I meant rWAR - is there a bWAR?

The first 2 are not good at all. Neither is infallible but the real point is saying he was mediocre isn't a huge stretch.

If they'll give up Minor to move Upton without paying cash in a trade for Edwin, count me being in 1,000 times.

Yes please. Would be nice to try and weasel Bethancourt away but probably no chance the Braves would want to move him.

The Braves are supposedly considering moving Gattis this offseason to make room for Bethancourt. I'm not sure if I'd be interested in Gattis as part of an Upton/Jackson swap, at least until it becomes clear where Schwarber will end up.

Is Gattis a terrible defensive catcher, otherwise wtf?

As far as I know, plus he's terrible in the OF (obviously) and the Braves are concerned his 250 pound frame won't hold up in either position. He's basically Adam Dunning it right now

Yeah, Gattis grades out pretty poorly defensively, and there's apparently questions about how longer he can catch(at least regularly) at his size.
