I was always curious......are there no right-handed hitters whose spray chart warrants an over-shift? It's ALWAYS left handed hitters who get the shift

Are you kidding or talking about a shift as opposed to an over-shift. An overshift is created when you stick both the SS and 3B on the right side of second base. You just can't do that against right handed batters with the first baseman.

Yeah pretty sure he means a shift

 

it is rare but it's funny since the rays did it to javy just yesterday
