I seriously think we have the best 4 prospects in baseball.

What's crazy is that I am trying to put on paper my top 20-30 or so prospects for the Cubs. And I have a hard time with Russell or Soler 3/4. Refuse to put Baez below 2nd. But seriously, if Russell is the 8th best prospect according to a couple different lists, and is behind Bryant and Baez, and I could legitimately argue Soler as a better prospect.....WOW.

soler is definitely much more highly appreciated (or rated) on this board than he is by BA/BP/etc.

it's pretty rad that, if alcantara were still down at midseason, you could've made a strong argument that the cubs had 5 of the top 20 prospects in baseball. and even more rad that they are all hitting prospects in the high minors (i.e., lower risk of being a bust than the average prospect).

I think that's because this board sees him as a better hitter, which may end up being true, but the other guys are doing it as infielders. Also, the injury thing. But I think position is the bigger factor.

That second Baez homer is a routine fly out anywhere but that little park. My high school field was deeper down the lines.

Although that first homer was a Hank Aaron special.

It's 310 down the line but did we actually see the ball land? I've tried like 5 times and didn't find it.

I can't see it, but you can see everybody looking at where the ball presumably landed, a few feet past the fence.

IMHO, in terms of pure offensive ceiling, Soler is atop the list, though I'll admit that much of this stems from the hype originally surrounding him. In terms overall value, Baez and Russell are ahead of him, maybe ahead of Bryant as well.
