Weis, that Tseng headshot is outstanding.

Pierce has 0 H, 1 BB, 5 K thru 3 IP

Thanks, man. pulled it straight off KCC's site. The lime green backdrop coupled with the hat perched "just so" on top of those amazing bangs was a thing of glory for me. Stellar effort.

I was watching the game, and I think Javy's line should read 2-2 with 3 walks. He took a 3-2 fastball that looked low and away to me. Gameday says different, but they had the center field camera and showed it twice. Javy was livid and sat on his heels in the left hand batters box for a couple seconds.

in some ways i'm almost happy that he's taking close pitches like that, rather than swinging out of his shoes at anything that he can reach. shows growth as a hitter.

What's Rivero's velocity at and what is his stuff like? Fastball/hard slider, I assume? I don't know much of anything about him, other than that I can't wait to see him in the majors.

I think Theo stole Bosio's magic pixie dust that was reserved for Jaxon and left-handed Jaxon and gave it to our minor league managers to use on the prospects.

Pixie dust is potent stuff. There's enough of that stuff to go around.

I imagine Renteria is like this when Bosio pulls it out (NSFW):

Soler and Rivero need to be in the majors now.

And Javy. But yes, agreed.

Soler is already on a major League deal and Rivero is 26. I don't see a reason to start Baez's clock this soon while he is still learning second base.

Why not have him learn 2B at the level you want him at when there are literally zero stakes with the major league team? Why are people so convinced they won't be able to sign him to a team-friendly deal a la Castro or Rizzo?

2nd base isnt that hard to learn and if he commits some errors who cares this year. Id rather his bat work through his required two months of adjustment before his Javy tear.

what i'm saying is the guy with the mlb tattoo isn't signing a team friendly anything. it's not a good idea to waste a year of team control because you think the groundballs might be different at the big league level

By the time that year would be an issue, if they haven't gotten their [expletive] together financially then...holy hell, I don't even know what that is.

There's no way I'm leaving as soon as they start winning. I'm gonna be back in so hard like I never doubted them it'll make you steam your shorts.
Posted
steam my shorts? is that something old people say? i don't even know what that implies i'm doing to my shorts. like, when you stop being a cantankerous nincompoop, i'll put my wrinkled shorts in the dryer with a wet sock for a few minutes? i guess those events could potentially happen in that order in a short amount of time, but correlation != causation holds here i would think

I'd like to think it means you were cartoonishly mad, but instead of steam shooting out of your ears it shoots out of your ass because: farts.

baez home run: http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=35076555&sid=milb

two reactions:

1. the ball landed just over 3 seconds after it hit his bat, which is damned fast.

2. that was a line drive off the bat, and it cleared the bleachers in left!

russell home run: http://www.milb.com/multimedia/vpp.jsp?content_id=35076521&sid=milb

reaction: for a guy with supposed 15 to 20 home run power, russell sure seems to drill a lot of 400+ foot home run. that was a BOMB.
