Thinking about the hits Rondon has given up this year... that bitch single to Molina in the Sunday night game they lost, all the bloops to the Yankees and Marlins, and now this garbage inning. How brutal.

It will never happen and it doesn't have much to do with why the Cubs are gonna lose this one, but I wish managers would stop using closers in tie games in the 9th.

Edit: now it has everything to do with it. What a joke.

So saw that coming. Rondon's numbers take a huge hit over a bunch of pansy ass garbage and then one (sort of) bad pitch. [expletive].

If I'm Rondon, I'm consulting a witch doctor or something.

If anything, this isn't done nearly enough. Once you reach a tie in the 9th inning, you should go in descending order of pitcher quality, accounting for fatigue as well. Rondon should be pitching this inning.

Please refer to Chapter 10, Page 374, section 4 of The Cubs Way manual on how to lose a game in proper Cub-like fashion. Job we'll done. Theo and Jed are toasting drinks right now.

Exactly. If the ridiculous little blooper is caught, the inning goes 1-2-3 and we're not having this conversation.
