So we have a 21 year old kid who's had attitude issues in the past, and now he's being heckled by hillbillies during what I can only assume has been the roughest patch of his baseball career. I just hope it doesn't escalate into a prospect goes ape [expletive] situations.

Bryant lowered his K rate a full percentage point today, and his SLG actually dipped ever so slightly even though he went 3 for 5. Now hitting .331/.437/.624/1.061

 

EDIT: One more note on Bryant and his hit tool. He's now at 304 PA as a pro, 158 of them coming at AA. He's hitting .333 overall, .331 at AA.

Shocker that dumb things like this happen when your organization puts not just the expectation, but the NECESSITY of you being amazing or else it's a huge catastrophe on a kid's shoulders.

No doubt, I thought that too. But it's as though these particular fans don't understand the purpose of the Iowa Cubs.

This is true; you'd think people that actually went to minor league baseball games would have a better grasp of the purpose.

 

That said, I really do dread when guys like him and Bryant show up and if they have prolonged struggles.
