Still leaving too many pitches up, and he got some very borderline calls for big Ks, but he was throwing strikes which is huge for him.

Would be pretty awesome if Bosio magic could turn him into a long term piece. Not saying a TOR or anything. Just someone who fills in a rotation spot respectably and can occasionally shut teams down.

His slider was nasty and batters were missing it by a foot. I saw maybe 3 Cards make solid contact today.

Still convinced he can be a solid pitcher in the National League. I have a friend who was teammates with him in Baltimore, and he said his stuff is nasty. Which doesn't mean anything if he can't throw it for strikes, but I believe he can be somebody for us.
