I guess that type of piece wouldn't have a purpose if it didn't have a pointed tone, but I don't really get it. Maybe it's different interests, but at the Convention I went to, the vendors was a neat way to kill a little time between sessions for a change of pace, but if it went away entirely I wouldn't really have batted an eye. It was a slightly more focused shopping experience than you get at a memorabilia store in a mall, not to mention the availability of the internet for stuff like that. The coolest things I saw weren't even in that section, it was the used flags from the stadium the team was selling, and that was separate from the vendor area.

I'm also a little confused by the implication that the Sheraton is so much worse for that setup. The Hilton may have more square footage, but it's layout was a bit of a maze. Even the vendor section specifically was way tucked in to a cranny that you could easily miss, especially with the lines for autographs. I haven't been in all the conference rooms at the Sheraton so maybe with the volume of people it becomes an issue, but the layout is way better for this type of event.

Yeah...but that guy totally forgot to take a pic of the inside of Wrigley (and the jumbotron)

Can kinda make out the jumbotron in the first picture on the left field wall. But yeah need a better view. Guessing this thing will be on display all convention and better pics will come out

Ricketts brings up focusing on progress made in 2013. Minors, DR complex(last offseason), and Mesa complex(that was paid in full by others).

Hopes to get over the hump and begin renovations soon.

What's the point in bringing that up?

The Cubs had to negotiate to get that. It's not like it was just given to them.

There wasn't.

Honestly, I don't remember the Mesa thing that pissed me off, think it had to do with them breaking ground in the surrounding area by a certain time or something and getting that taken away, due to doing nothing.

Thanks for the photo @Cubs! Really helps me visualize those unis.

Not going to talk much about the TV deal, structure of loans does impact spending, not as much as you think-according to Tom(said before)

Can't just buy out rooftop owners, they want different things.

Possible to do renovation in 4 offseasons, wouldn't promise it.

Clark questions abound, as Laura says"That's a big part of what we're doing when we renovate Wrigley"

Theo kind of admitted to holding back on money this offseason, in case a guy became available they wanted. Then mentioned they may be able to roll payroll over, if they don't use it right now.(has said this before, but never has said they haven't spent all money til now)

Fan asks Theo really longwinded question about when the Cubs will when the World Series....

Theo:"Maybe by the end of your question."

Surprised that CSN did not do the live show from the convention yesterday @5PM. Didn't miss Kapman's slobbering nonsense, but always good to see crowd reaction to players and front office people. Did it kickoff @ 6PM, rather than 5?

really dissapointed opening ceremony wasn't on comcast like last year. Would really have liked to see that "prospect walk". They brought out pretty much every relevant one and then some.
